Southern Cross University Scholarships

Southern Cross University (SCU) is offering international students the opportunity to apply for a Pro Vice Chancellor (International and Enterprise) Academic Scholarship for India. The PVC(IE) Academic Scholarship for India Application must be submitted with the International Application for Admission form. Successful applicants will be notified in their Offer of Admission.
The PVC(IE) Academic Scholarship for India provides students with a $2 000 fee reduction on the third session tuition fees, after successful completion of their first two study sessions at Southern Cross University.
Students wishing to apply for the PVC(IE) Academic Scholarship for India are required to satisfy the following criteria:

  1. Must have Indian citizenship and residing outside of Australia.
  1. Meet the minimum admission requirements of the University.

Undergraduate entry: A qualification equivalent to Australian Year 12 and the required entry grade (Indian School Certificate with overall grade of at least 75% or above in at least four academic subjects) for the program for which they have applied; and English language comparable to Academic IELTS 6.0 overall with no band less than 5.5.

Postgraduate entry: Students are required to have a degree considered by the University to be equivalent to an Australian Bachelor** degree; and English language comparable to Academic IELTS 6.0 overall with no band less than 5.5 or 6.5 overall for entry to the Master of Business Administration or Master of Professional Accounting.*

*Please note these scores may vary, depending on the course you choose. Refer to to check entry requirements.

**Degree must be a three year or more full-time Indian qualification with an academic score of:

Section 1 university – achieved level of either distinction, 1st division/class or 2nd division/class; or Section 2 or 3 university – achieved a level of either distinction or 1st division/class.

  1. Apply to study a full undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree delivered on either the Gold Coast, Lismore or Coffs Harbour campuses for the following intakes:

(a) February 2016 (application must be received by 15 November 2015) (b) July 2016 (application must be received by 15 April 2016) (c) October 2016 (application must be received by 15 July 2016).

4. A General Temporary Entrant (GTE) interview with be conducted by the Regional Manager or delegate during the application process and as part of the scholarship.
