About Parkland College

Parkland College consists of five small campuses situated in the eastern part of the province of Saskatchewan in the heart of the Canadian prairies. Founded in 1973, the college has grown to offer a diverse mix of education options and a flourishing international student component. Students can select from a broad range of programs, including university degrees, technical diplomas and certificates, and hands-on trades training. Parkland College believes in practising what you learn, so many programs are designed to provide you with industry-standard skills and knowledge, leading directly to employment.

The college’s main campus is located in Yorkton, a vibrant agricultural community and a retail, recreation, and service hub for more than 200,000 residents across eastern Saskatchewan. Local people are known for their open, welcoming disposition. Community members are friendly and diverse, eager to help their neighbours, and readily accept others of different ethnic backgrounds.

Residents enjoy a comfortable lifestyle in peaceful and secure communities of less than 20,000 people. Parkland College is named after the surrounding aspen parkland, an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise which features groves of aspen poplars and spruce trees mixed with prairie grasslands and dense shrubbery.
