No IELTS for PG Program : De Montfort University will be accepting Post Graduate (PG) Applications without IELTS, but on the basis of a skype interview, and also provided the student has scored 65% or above for English in Standard 12.

  • Latest date of UO Issuance- 11th January 2017
  • Latest date of CAS Issuance- 20th January 2017
  • International Enrolment commencing- 16th January 2017
  • Teaching starts- 30th January 2017
  • Latest date of enrolment- 10th February 2017

These are the entry requirements for full-time undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Foundation High school qualification (or equivalent) IELTS 5.0

Undergraduate

Minimum of 65% average in your four best subjects (excluding Hindi) at Standard 12 for entry onto the first year of an undergraduate degree. We may also check your standard 10 results in English and Maths. IELTS 6.0 for Art, Design and Technology subjects
For Engineering courses you will need a minimum of 60% in Maths. We have a range of foundation courses available, if you do not meet this level. IELTS 6.5 for Business, Law, Social Sciences, Sciences and Humanities subjects
Some courses have additional entry criteria such as a portfolio, an audition, or require a student to have a particular A-level grade. IELTS 7.0 for MPharm, Nursing, Midwifery, Audiology, Speech and Language Theory
Credit transfer to year 2 or 3, subject to match module.

Postgraduate

Minimum score of 55-65% in your first degree. IELTS 6.0 for Art, Design and Technology subjects
Some courses have additional entry criteria such as a portfolio, work experience or require you to have a degree in a related field. IELTS 6.5 for Business, Law, Social Sciences, Sciences and Humanities subjects
PhD applicants should have a postgraduate degree (normally awarded in the last five years) in a subject area closely related to the proposed research topic. IELTS 7.0 for LLM
An equivalent academic or professional qualification may be acceptable.
