University Of Bedfordshire Application Instructions
The English Language Entry Requirement has been Changed for Indian Students.
GEEBEE Education students Applying to University of Bedfordshire can get the Benefit of these relaxed English Language criteria if they have Obtain 60% mark in 12 Standard.
The Following are the Condition for the Same:
- GEEBEE Eductaion will choice students having 60% in grade 12th and will inform the university about the Students Good Communication Skill and Academic Excellence.
- Then the Students need to Appear in two small interviews via Skype by the University English Language centre.
- Students who successfully complete these interviews and are deemed to be equivalent to B2 will then be allowed to join degree course without the further need for a SELT.
English Criteria / Skpye Interview
Students who have 60% in their 12th Standard in English will be Eligible to take an Skype Interview for an English Waiver and if they clear their Skype interviews, IELTS/TOEFL will be waived off. Please note this will be applicable for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.
Please note there will be stages of the Skype Interview to be cleared by the students before the English Conditions can be waived off.
- First an Skype with our Regional Representative Office in India.
- Followed by an Skype with our English Language
Department at the University in the UK.
Please note will require the students Email Id, Direct Mobile Number and Skype id for us to schedule the Skype Interviews.
Please note SELT (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE) is Mandatory for student joining University of Bedfordshire if they do not meet the above mentioned criteria.(if they do not clear the Skype Interview with the required English Marks)
If student do not have the required SELT score (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE) they can join the English course leading to the February 2014 / April 2014 intake depending on the score they have achieved in their SELT (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE).
Please note the Duration of our English course are 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 / 12 / 16 weeks.
*** Student with the Pre-sessional 4 / 6 / 8 Weeks will have an Single CAS, They need to show fund for the English Course plus the Main Course, They need to clear the English Exam to be Eligible to register for their main Courses
2 CAS will be issued for the 10 / 12 / 16 weeks English Course. Student will have to apply for their visa again from the UK if they have an condition of 2 CAS.
Please refer to the attached English course list. (Students Need to Clear the English Exam before an CAS for the Main course can be issued) Students have to show their Living Costs for the Duration of their English Course and then will need to show the Funds for the full duration of the main course when applying for their visas for the main course after clearing the English Exam.

University of Bedfordshire Living Expenses & Finances
* Students need to maintain £7,200 in their account for 28 days and the end date of bank statements / letter must not be more than one calendar month from the date of application. (Please note £ 7200 is applicable for living costs as University of Bedfordshire is located outside London)
*** Student with the Pre-Sessional 4 / 6 / 8 Weeks will have an Single CAS, They need to show fund for the English Course plus the Main Course, They need to clear the English Exam to be Eligible to register for their main Courses.
** Students with 2 Separate CAS Need to apply for the English course and must show £ 800 per month for English course duration for visa filing in their bank account for 28 days and the end date of bank statements / letter must not be more than one calendar month from the date of application, i.e.
- 10 Weeks need to show £2400
- 12 Weeks need to show £2400
- 16 Weeks need to show £3200
*** Students applying with 2 Separate CAS once they clear the English course can apply for their visas from the UK for their main Course, The student can use either money held in an account owned by themselves or their parents (need further evidence i.e. an original birth certificate and a letter confirming the relationship between student and their parents and that parents have given their consent to the student to use their funds to study in the UK) either in the UK or in India.
The rules above are still application whatever account they are using and all the documents need to be original. They can also use a letter from regulated financial institution confirming a loan. The letter must be dated no more than 6 months before the date of application. The bank statements must be in UKBA required format. Below is the required details that must outline in the letter (from Tier 4 Policy Guidance version 04/13, page 33., your name; and
- the date of the letter; and
- the financial institution’s name and logo;
- the money available as a loan;
- that the loan is provided by your national government, their state or regional government, a government sponsored student loan company or is part of an academic or educational loans scheme.
The financial institution must be regulated by either the Financial Services Authority or, in the case of overseas accounts, by the home regulator (the official regulatory body for the country the financial institution is in and where the money is held).
Students cannot use loans held in the name of their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) as evidence of money held by them. There must be no conditions placed on the release of the loan funds, other than their Tier 4 application being successful.
