University of East Anglia Scholarships

University of East Anglia: India 2017- Scholarship

Undergraduate Applicants:

University of East Anglia will award ALL offer holders £2,500 per year, excluding Faculty of Medicine and Health courses and excluding the year abroad or year in industry if students take that option. The criteria will just be that students meet the entry requirements, and the University will award these scholarships automatically after an offer of a place has been made, so students don’t need to fill in a scholarship application. If students say they need a larger scholarship, then they should be directed to apply for the UG International Scholarship of 25-50% per year.

PGT (Postgraduate Taught) Applicants:

University of East Anglia will award offer holders £4,000 – £5,000. The criteria to award will be that those that meet the entry requirements and get a conditional offer will be awarded £4,000. Students that have grades equivalent to a 1st class UK degree (= 70%+ in their Indian UG degree) will get the larger amount of £5,000. The process will be same as UG – students will be awarded automatically after they have been made an offer of a place, so no separate scholarship application. If the £4,000 scholarship students say they need a larger scholarship, then they should be directed to apply for the GREAT Campaign British Council scholarships that are also worth £5,000.

For both UG and PGT, students can only receive one scholarship so they can accept the one with the highest value. E.g. if a UG student gets the £2,500 per year scholarship and then also applies for a 25-50% scholarship and is awarded a 50% scholarship, then they can only have the one with the highest amount (e.g. the 50% scholarship), they cannot have both scholarships. Likewise a PGT student that gets a £4,000 scholarship, if they apply to GREAT scholarship and are awarded £5,000 then they have to accept the GREAT one and cannot claim both.
