A significant change is in terms of the entry requirements whereby students below B 2 will be accepted with a single CAS onto the pre sessional and main programme of study.

MSc Project Management with Internship (In Environment / Computing / Enterprise Management)

Introduction

In today’s business environment, effective project management is an essential requirement for organisational success. In both the public and private sectors, having a qualification in project management is now seen as a must for individuals who want to succeed. This course has the added advantage of an 8-month internship to enhance student professional development and career prospects.

Course overview

This course will develop student understanding of project management concepts, roles and activities in organisations by exploring the balance between theory, practical skills and knowledge that will ultimately support student career in project management. Student will engage with the core frameworks, principles and techniques in the discipline with an enhanced awareness of the issues related to managing project resources, controlling project finances, managing risks and quality, managing people and bringing about organisational change. Student will also learn how to apply project management skills in practice with the support of project management software.

The course consists of five core modules, one optional module (chosen from four) and two research modules. To complete the MSc in Project Management successfully, student will need 180 credits. All modules are 20 credits, except the dissertation, which are 40 credits.

Student can also choose to leave the course at earlier points with fewer credits, and gain different qualifications: 60 credits achieve a PG Certificate; 120 credits earn a PG Diploma.
