Application Checklist

  • Nonrefundable application fee of $50.00;
  • Official TOEFL score (if available);
  • Degree Program: Official transcripts and diplomas with certified English translation, if applicable;
  • Financial Declaration;
  • Current bank statement (International F-1 student visa holders/applications only);
  • Copy of the ID page of your passport and, if applicable, your dependents; and
  • Copy of I-94 (front & back) if currently in the U.S.
  • Third party information release form, if applicable.

Tuition & Fees

The following tuition and fees rates are effective as of July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014. Please note, tuition and fees are subject to change. To see the most current information, please visit City University of Seattle website.

  • Bachelor’s programs tuition: $6435~$8115 per quarter (10 weeks)

With living expenses, books and supplies added, the minimum amount required for one year is: $41,077. (A bank statement showing at least this amount must be provided for visa purposes)

  • Graduate program tuition: $4590~$6885 per quarter (10 weeks)

With living expenses, books, and supplies, the minimum amount required for one year is: $39,952

  • English language program (ELP): $2710 per quarter (10 week session)

With living expenses, books, and supplies added, the minimum amount required: $27,324 for one year ($3,592 for 5 weeks)

Undergraduate/Bachelor’s

Housing Options

City University of Seattle does not provide housing to students. However, City University of Seattle works with an agency, USA International, that that can help students find housing in the area. There are three options available through USA International:

  • Host Family – live with a host family. Room and board ranges from $650-$700 per month. City University of Seattle highly recommends that their international students stay with a host family for at least 1-2 quarters. This is probably the most economical option and the best way to adapt to life in the US.
  • Share Housing – rent a room and share common living areas. Food is not included. Students are responsible for their own meals. Cost $475-$550 per month. Students will have to pay a damage deposit.
  • Apartment living – US International can help students find an apartment in the area. Food is not included. Students are responsible for their own meals. Cost varies from $800-$1,500 per month. Students will have to pay a damage deposit.

US International fee is $250. For an additional fee, the company can also arrange airport pick for students.

City University of Seattle also works with Seattle International Students agency, www.SeattleInternationalStudents.com,that supports students in finding dormitories, hostels and arranging airport pick up.

Students receive a US International application package with their CityU admission’s package and can contact US International directly regarding housing (http://www.ushomestay.com/housing.htm).

Transportation Options

City University of Seattle’s location in the heart of downtown makes it easy to commute to and from school whether or not students have their own vehicle.

  • Car2go – CityU has a partnership with rental agency car2go. CityU students are eligible for free car2go membership with free first 30 minutes! International students can register and become a member just like everyone else. Car2go will simply review the student’s international driver’s license and a copy of their 3-year personal driving record before driving.
  • Public Transit – Our Seattle campus is located near a number of bus lines. The university sells ORCA (IC Card) bus and light rail passes for student convenience.
