CityUniversity of Seattle’s Bachelor of Science in Business Administration focuses on many important skills when working in today’s global, high-tech business world, with particular emphasis on soft skills – skills relating to management, leadership, teamwork, and communication, especially in cross-cultural situations.

Bachelor of Science – General Studies

CityUniversity’s General Studies program is an important option when a student has very specific individual goals, and either wants to specialize in a few fields, or study a wide range of topic. Students work closely with an advisor to create their own unique bachelor’s degree.
This program also has the most generous transfer policy, which allows more credits to be transferred into the program than most other degrees.

Graduate Programs

Master of Science in Project Management

This program has been offered at CityU since the early 1990s and it focuses on teaching students the skills they need to take leadership of project focused activities in an organizational setting. This includes building a portfolio of projects based on organizational strategy, and then developing and managing the planning, scheduling, budgeting and controlling activities to ensure that maximum benefit is realized through project execution.

Master of Business Administration (available in the English- language assisted format)

The MBA program at City University of Seattle was developed after asking companies in Europe, China, and the United States what skills they wanted in their employees and managers. Many of the instructors have worked for global companies, or still consult with some of the world’s top companies. This gives the City University MBA a reputation for giving students some of the best skills they need to succeed in some of the world’s best companies.
MBA emphasis areas include: Finance — Global Management — Marketing — Project Management
The English language assisted format allows students with a score between TOEFL iBT 76-86 to start their MBA program while still attending English language classes. While in this program student take 18 credits of MBA that go toward 48 credits required for MBA degree completion. This program was designed specifically for international students as it allows them to start their academic studies earlier and obtain their MBA degree in a shorter period of time.

Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology

CityUniversity’s Counseling Psychology program help students who want to become professional mental health counselors. Students completing this program could work in mental health clinics, hospitals, counseling agencies, hospitals, or managed care organizations. Several internships are also required as part of the program to gain real-world experience.

CityU’s English Language Program at Washington Academy of Languages gives students the English skills they need to succeed anywhere, whether in business, academic, or social situations with other English speakers around the world. Students do not need any English test scores to begin in this program, and the completion of level 6 of this program allows students to take academic courses.
