About City University of Seattle

City University of Seattle (CityU) is a not-for-profit university accredited by the Northwest Commission of Colleges and Universities. CityU’s mission is to change lives by offering high quality, relevant lifelong education to anyone with the desire to learn.

The university specializes in undergraduate and graduate programs designed for the needs of the US and international community: about 80% of the teaching faculty have worked for or currently consult for leading global corporations and companies. One of CityU’s core missions is to provide global access to high quality educational programs, so the university’s programs are reasonably priced and no standardized tests (SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT) are required for admission. International students must meet English language proficiency requirements, but for many academic programs the university offers conditional admittance and the opportunity to improve English language skills within its own ESL program.

Location

The City University of Seattle main campus is located in the thriving area of downtown Seattle at (6th  Ave and Wall street). The CityU campus is located near the headquarters of the Gates Foundation and Amazon.com, and is near popular Seattle attractions such as the Experience Music Project and the Space Needle. CityU’s new urban learning campus allows students to attend classes in modern, interactive, and innovative learning spaces. CityU’s campus is easily accessible by public transportation from any part of the greater Seattle area, is also located in close proximity to the city’s major attractions and vibrant businesses, and provides for a great urban lifestyle for international and domestic students.

Student Body

Approximately 10% of the more than 4,000 students studying in the U.S. are international students. City University of Seattle international students come from more than 30 countries and the majority – 70% – is enrolled in one of the master’s degree programs offered by CityU. CityU has nearly 7,000 students worldwide.

Faculty

Almost all CityU faculty members have advanced degrees in their fields and practical working experience in their field. This combination of academic strength and practical expertise ensures the relevance and credibility of the programs offered in education, business, and the behavioral sciences. CityU has about 600 faculty members.
