University Of Michigan Flint Application Instructions

University Of Michigan – Flint Application is Online – – $55 Application Fee

The application can be submitted

Documents required- (Notarized documents are required)

1) Official Transcripts and a copy of final year certificate of graduation or diploma if it has been received

2) Statement of Purpose

3) Letters of Recommendation

4) UM-Flint Affidavit of Support form

5) Official Bank Statements from Bank Institutions. (No online copies are accepted, even if they are stamped. Also, statements longer than 6 months from the time of applying are not accepted)

6) Proof of English Proficiency (can be waived if certain conditions are met)

TOEFL: 84 (Internet-based)

  • Minimum 23 in reading
  • Minimum 23 in listening
  • Minimum 17 in speaking
  • Minimum 21 in writing

IELTS: Overall bandwidth of 6.5

(If student has  attended an English-speaking institution that is recognized by the University of Michigan-Flint, then English Proficiency Requirement will be waived off.)

8. Any supporting materials required by the program that student wish to apply to All credentials must be official, original documents or notarized, attested copies of the original. Please visit the Graduate Programs website for more information regarding GPA, course requirements, and pertinent information.

NOTE: University Of Michigan – Flint will offer conditional admissions for undergraduate applicants. However, for graduate applicants, certain programs allow conditional admissions for applicants lacking English proficiency, but that occurs on a case-by-case basis by the department in question. Hence, it is not guaranteed that students will receive conditional admissions even if they meet minimum requirements in all other areas aside from English.
